Dear all IPA Members,
I just returned to Hong Kong following my attendance of the
65th IPA World Congress in Spain. The following issues are for your
information:
1. Albania was formally recogized
as full affilated section.
2. Membership of Russia was suspended for one year until
the World Congress 2023 due to the current war against Ukraine.
3. Slight amendment to IPA logo was adopted in which the
world map could fully include Australia and New Zealand. New logo would be
adopted after close of WC 2027.
4. Existing External Relations Commission (ERC) of IPA
would be renamed to International Relations Commission (IRC).
5. World Congress for the coming years: 2023 by Greece
(24-29 Oct) , 2024 by North Macedonia and 2025 by
Poland.
6. Sri Lanka indicated the intention to host WC in 2026.
7. Hong Kong indicated the intention to host WC and Young
Police Officers' Seminar (YPOS) in 2027.
8. YPOS 2023 in New Zealand, 2024 in Austria, 2025 in
Belgium and 2026 in Germany.
9. Schedule of IPA Games, to be held bi-yearly, 2024 in
Romania and 2026 in Poland.
